The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other models which makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through an efficient.
It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help draw out debris from corners.
The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and works well however it's something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home, find furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also fast.
In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
This device has a fairly high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It's important to remember that it carries recurring expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. These include an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station once it has completed the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. budget robot vacuum is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair from pets. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was starting or completing its task.
Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it has some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.
Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This is a rare event, but frustrating nonetheless, because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.
Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
